Mission
Volusia County Fire Services is committed to protecting life, property and the environment throughout the community we serve. We will provide the highest level of customer service through continuous improvement, reflecting pride and respect for our citizens, our organization and ourselves.

Volusia County Fire Services (VCFS) provides service to the unincorporated area of Volusia County and the municipalities of Pierson, DeBary, Lake Helen and Oak Hill. It operates 23 fire stations and protects 920 square miles. VCFS has automatic aid, closest first response agreements in place with nearly all of its cities and neighboring counties. The future holds concerns for everyone and VCFS is prepared with its specially trained Hazardous Materials, Technical Rescue and Wildfire Teams. VCFS is more than a "fire service"; it is an "all-hazards" emergency response and community risk management organization offering special services to the county's residents to help keep them safe.
