The Mission of the South Daytona Fire Department

is the preservation of life and property, by providing quality emergency services, emergency medical services, fire suppression and disaster preparedness, as well as educating the public in fire prevention and safety, and to do so in a professional manner, dedicated to the citizens we serve.

The South Daytona Fire Department serves a population of 13,313 citizens in a City of 4.84 square miles.  The department has a staff of 14 personnel which includes, 6 certified Paramedics and 5 certified Fire Inspectors that work out of the main fire station.  In addition to providing Fire Protection and Advanced Emergency Medical Services, the department also provides    Public education, Fire inspections, CPR classes and Disaster Response.
