FESS will not be conducting any testing during the remainder of 2008 or 2009. You are encouraged to contact the participating fire departments to find out what procedure they will be using for pre-employment screening during this time period.
Starting in July 2004, thirteen fire departments in Volusia and Flagler counties joined together in an effort to find the best firefighters in the state of Florida. Beginning October 2005, Flagler County Fire Department joined this group to bring the total number of fire departments to 14. FESS serves as the first step in the employment processes of each of these fire departments.
